China textile industry federation revealed on Monday that the textile industry was running smoothly in the first three quarters of 2018. Looking ahead to the full year, China's textile industry is expected to maintain a stable operation driven by domestic consumption and supported by transformation, but external pressures such as cost and environmental protection still need to be overcome.

According to the introduction, the world economy has remained on the recovery track since 2018, supporting the stable operation of the textile industry. In the first three quarters, the development quality of China's textile industry was steadily improved, with the main indicators showing a month-to-month callback trend. At the same time, it is more urgent for the whole industry to accelerate high-quality development and improve its ability to resist risks.

During the same period, China's textile and apparel products sales were better than that of the previous year. From January to September, the retail sales of clothing items above the national quota, including shoes, hats and needle textiles, increased by nearly 9% year-on-year, 1.7 percentage points higher than that of the same period last year, which was at a higher level of growth in the past three years.

In addition, export markets continued to recover. In terms of export markets, textile and apparel exports to the United States, the European Union and Japan all increased year-on-year.

The China textile industry association predicts that China's textile industry will continue its current stable trend in the whole year of 2018, with the main operating indicators basically maintaining the current growth level.

In 2019, the domestic and foreign market environment of China's textile industry is stable and changing, the operating pressure of the textile industry will be increased compared with this year, the uncertainty of export situation will be strengthened, and the inherent demand of the industry to promote high-quality development is more urgent.
